Your Rights to Independent Mental Health Advocacy Service under the Mental Health Act in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire
If you are in hospital being treated or assessed for a mental health condition, or you are living in the community under section of the Mental Health Act, you are entitled to help from an Independent Mental Health Advocate. We can support you to put forward your views and ensure your voice is heard. We will work through options and consequences and help you understand and uphold your rights. Our service is free, confidential and, most importantly, independent of all other services.
If you or a family member would like to speak to an advocate you can call us on 01267 223197 if you live in Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire or Carmarthenshire.
To make a referral, for yourself or on behalf of someone who needs your support to contact us, you can complete a referral form and send it to referrals@advocacywestwales.org.uk.
Advocacy West Wales provides a community based service in Pembrokeshire. Our community service is full time, available in English and Welsh and works with people who have accessed mental health services either in the past or are seeking to access mental health services currently. Community Mental Health Advocacy Service in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire
Advocacy West Wales provides a community based service to people of all ages, including children and young people, and their carers. If you or someone you know has support from mental health services or is seeking to access more support for their mental health, and wants support from an advocate to put their views across about their care, support to make informed decisions and understand their rights, please call 01437 762935 to speak with a member of the team. You can also make a referral, for yourself or on behalf of someone who needs your support to contact us using our community referral form and sending it to referrals@advocacywestwales.org.uk.

Three County Independent Professional Advocacy Service – 3CIPA – If you are seeking advocacy support for social care and support assessment, planning or review of social care services, or support with safeguarding processes you may be entitled to the support of an Independent Professional Advocate. AWW leads a partnership including Age Cymru Dyfed, Carmarthenshire People First, Carers Trust Crossroads West Wales and Dewis CIL in providing this service through Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire.
