The Sue Evans Legacy

working with children and young peopleSue Evans was a dedicated and hardworking Trustee of Advocacy West Wales for many years.

She died in November 2014.

With the assistance of Sue’s family and friends, AWW established a fund to build a legacy for Sue which would focus on her work to reduce suicide levels among children and young people.

AWW has developed a project to deliver a number of sessions of mental health awareness and developing self advocacy skills to children and young people, at a number of schools and other sites in the South Pembrokeshire area during the autumn term of 2016.  Our project worker, Anneline Rogers, will be working with the children and young people on these sessions.  It is planned that this work will inform a larger bid for funds to expand the project and to work with children and young people across the wider area in West Wales.

For further information, Anneline can be contacted by ‘clicking here’.

Donations continue to be received in Sue’s memory and in the name of AWW at the charity’s offices at 36-38 High Street, Haverfordwest, SA61 2DA.
